Ok, go to the main menu,
- then click settings
-then scroll down until you see "Enable BBCode" and change it to OFF

This should speed it up and process the URL's

This is turning into a week long mission as usual! The BB sockets are all 1/2 inch, obviously my wrench is 3/8. Managed to buy an adapter and started work. Got the cranks off, and am now confronted with this.

What the fook is it and how do I get it out/off so I can get the socket on the BB??

I went for the socket instead of the spanner. It's not deep enough to reach the bb.

Ah I think you might be stuffed as it will be the same on the otherside once you have the crank off - i thought all the tools looked like this

That'll teach me to go with Evil's suggestion! Yep, it's the same the other side. I don't know what it is, how it comes out, or what I'd buy if I wanted to replace it. I've tried hitting it with a hammer (Bradley-style) but it didn't budge. Bugger..

Bought this: Image

Just hitting the thing in the way - thought it might slide out but looks like its part of the bb. Only the Truvativ Howitzer ones seem to be like this. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=40487

Ahhhhhh

yea i have the same on my gambler - in hitting the axle all you are whacking it into the bb cups on the other side. The axle has a ridge which sits inboard of the cups which is why it wont pop out like a hollowtech one does.

you deffo need spanner like I linked to above

Sorted now (borrowed Bradleys) but deffo need to buy one of those spanners. Wish component manufacturers could all work to the same standards.
