Had a fabio time in Germany with Joost and Jan last week even with some torrential rain LOL. Great laughs and good riding.

The rain actually helped the Winterberg DH course run better as it was soooo bone dry & dusty when we got there.

I think Norcbot and Wenman have mentioned it before but it is really worth going too, not the length of the Alps but everything DH is condensed so its a fun challenging run with easy options even through the rock gardens and drops and gaps, when needed (a few times LOL)

There are 'Fun runs' too which are like easy option berm fest runs down the mountain with loads of nice table tops to play with at Willengen at the top and a few thrown in at Winterberg to have fly time!!

Apparently I have now run the Willingen DH world cup course , didnt take all the fast lines LOL but did do the start drop at Willengen :D

Somebodys run on the course: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gI3vka3Lcks

Oh and the North shore looked amazing at Winterberg, just very wet, so did'nt venture onto it!!

Both locations well worth a visit and fairly novice friendly too, I will defo, defo go back

Went for 5 days , Mon - Fri and drove out via the Eurotunnel very early! Car had a wobbly (had to go slower due to a warning light) and the sat nav too as it didnt realise a main motorway tunnel was closed at Essen for a few miles and a road in the mountains nr Winterberg!! so I know it can be done quicker, prob 7 hours, and I did it all on one tank of fuel - there and back!! Result :)
