HI all! So brought a pair of superstar ultra mags on 29/8/12 and sent them back on 6/9/12!,63 miles of light trail riding over thorndon,Left pedal badly creeking & when i rang them up they remember having problems fitting 1 of the Ti axles to the platforms!Took me a hell of alot of ringing & emails to finally get my refund back a further 8 days! :x Plus the overall finish of the pedals wasn't to clever either  Poor customer service superstar!!!So brought a pair of these bad boys instead!£74.99 from CRC

I quite like Superstar stuff but reading some of the reviews the other day and someone commented, Superstar is all good except anything with moving parts !. Their downfall tends to be the bearings.

I recently got sick of my Saint hubs, they had got very notchy and was bored of adjusting them and its possible to take em apart but..uueeggh..loose bearings !..So bought some Superstar DHX wheels, cheap only £130, the only real riding they had was a week in Morzine (although a mucky week and did get hosed down lots), but rear felt like crap, bearings very notchy, lucky they are easy to get out and ordered some new ones on Ebay for a few quid.

So it appears its either the bearings that let Superstar down (maybe they should use pricier SKF or ceramic ones) or maybe there is not enough sealing in their pedals or wheels ?..The reviews of their bottom brackets make similar points (incidently even after lots of pressure washing my Saint BB is going strong).

Pedal-wise Im very happy with my Nukeproof..prorons or neutrons or something..cant remember now.

If they had trouble building up 1 of the pedals it's surely quicker & easier to just build another set & worry about the faultly pedal later on!especially if the customer is forking out £109.99 4 a set of pedals!.otherwise it causes all sorts of hassel if a faulty set gets sent out!

Their BB I have heard lots of issues with and don't use them warnings.. Eccles has a set of superstar wheels on his new bike so be interested how they last him riding in this summer weather we have..

I'm going to get a new superstar Integrato Headset as mine is currently in need of replacing... this is sealed bearings though... see how a trip to wales sorts it out ;) ;) ;)
