So I emptied my water pack as soon as I got back from the ride on sunday and I've hung it up both ways and there's still water in it.

I've tried twisting it, turning it, tilting in etc to try and pour the last of the water out but no luck.

Is it even possible to dry it out completely?

Stuff some kitchen towel in the filler neck and hang it up with that at the lowest point (upside down)

I do the same thing, but I also put a pingpong ball in it to keep the sides from touching each other whilst it's drying.

Some people stick their's in freezer.
Never done that just shack water out and hand on door.

I use baby sterilisation tablets now and then.

Tip out as much liquid as possible, find 2 pieces of plasitic pipe - hose pipe, conduit etc doesnt matter as long as its around 25mm diameter andlong enough to go top to bottom. make sure there are no sharp edges and put them inside- one either side of the central divide

this holds it completely open. The problem with cloth or tissue is it can remain wet at this time of year and provide something for mold to grow on.

i cant see the point of freezing it. All this will achieve is freezing stale water and any bacteria inside until you refill it at which point they will be nicely placed to cause upset stomachs. This works even better if you provide a loverly sugar substance from squash or energy drink and the water gets nice and warm.

I use a set of camelbak hangers, use kitchen paper to absorb the remaining water (but don't leave it in) then I hang the camelbak in the airing cupboard for a day or 2.

Cheers
dallas!

After using mine I flush it through with boiling water.. hang it up to dry then wack it in the freezer... kills all the bugs and germs.. never had any issues with it.. just remember to take it out of said freezer before a ride...

I just soak it in milton fluid regularly, The newer camelbaks come with special bits that you extend from the opening that make the bladder open up so it dries properly.

Lol i wasn't suggesting you leave kitchen towel in it, only long enough to soak up the excess !

L left mine to dry two weeks ago. I'll stick mine in the freezer right now! I've never thought about that!
