Firstly Cheers for the Info Matt, much appreciated.
So we travelled down early Tuesday in sunshine battling our way round the moving car park known as M25 lol. Made it around 10.30 am met Joost, got sorted and started rolling around 11 ish.
Loved it, really is all weather trail with great ascent to warm you up at the beginnning, nice flow to it and the swoops are there to reward you when you need it but starts to really emerge after were the trail crossess the fireroad that the DH boys would use to get to there start point. Got round fairly quick and had a brew and rolled off again.
Second loop was quite eventfull as I managed to loose a pedal !! Luckily it was on a flat and in the only bit of slop on the trail so not to consequential but still managed to re-arrange the saddle LOL. Transpired the pedal bushing seized and was undoing the pedal as i rode. So numerous pedal losses later we got back and the cycle shop tried to fix it without luck but very kindly lent me a DMR pedal to get round for our last loop after some late lunch. Energy levels were really dropping at the end of the last loop but was still fun, fun, fun. Reckoned if we were just a little fitter and no mechanicals you can get 4 loops in easy.
Alternatively, I reckon you could easily do two loops and play on the DH stuff after, if room allowed.
The Verderers is a very viable winter destination as long as there isnt frost/ ice on the ground due to the stoned weather proofed singletrack around the majority of the trail. Personnally enjoyed it more than Cannock loop, and reckon another trip will be on the cards.
So lastly a very big thanks to Neil for driving , much appreciated fella
