Good trip, was gutted about the man flu. Been in bed since I got home and am about to try to eat something for the first time since breakfast yesterday. Still got a few runs in and great to see everyone.

Look forward to our comedy footage Jon ( it was the man flu I swear)

Gawton is a long way but would be a good club trip. HSD is good for everyone, but Egypt and Supertavy will sort the men from the boys. Supertavy is compared to a mini Champery. The push up is a killer so better an uplift.

Im looking at Winterberg later in the year so will keep you lot updated.
Scotland is on the cards too....over a long weekend

Whats HSD? Apparantly Gawton will do an uplift if there is enough people.

Gawton's got 3 runs

HSD - High Speed Descent - is pretty sooth and flowy - bit like the red downhill at Cwncarn - all rolls fine. You wouldn't get bored running this all day and as i said it is good for all - would actually be ace fun on a jump bike. A bit like Cwmcarn though it only gets real flowy when you are at Mach 1.
Super Tavy is the longest black run and the one they use for the new Dirt 1.09 - some steep tech, some flowy, roots and a couple of roadgaps.
Egypt is a super steep routy tech fest (Tranny would love it)

I did it all on my Nomad and got down the stuff with my honour intact but ST and Egypt were first places i have ridden apart from the Alps where i felt a down hill bike would have been a real advantage (unlike Aston and Cwmcarn). Slack head angle, short stem a minimum and coil rear shock a recommendation.

Gawton gets my vote, if you like your down hill proper messy!

Deffo not - you are looking at a good 4 hours each way. Maybe a UK bike park on the way or way back?
