as Keith says now and the next few months there will be some mega bargains coming up. ive seen several bikes recently id have snapped up if i was looking to buy another. Voltages are dropping down in price now and can be had for about 700 and i think you will get a 2010 come up for nearer 600 in the coming months..

im half tempted to buy another bike just to resell in the spring...

yeah cheers mate i need to try a few on a busy day at danbury there does seem to be some cheaper bikes on pinkbike than i ever thought its just choosing and raping the account whilst no ones looking!

Next time we are over Danbury Have a go on my scott Voltage we are the same height albeit you are a few lbs heaver  , But basically the set up will be just right for you, i had 2 full on DH bikes this year which was a bit to much bike for the likes of Danbury ect, So after trying a few scott Voltage`s i reckon they are much more suited for the likes of the riding we are doing over at Danbury, and as you know i got mine pretty cheap on PB, maybe you should start to smuggle the money out now and let mrs think you are just gonna get her a nice xmas present , and when you see the bike you want you wont miss it,as harry said a few people will buy them hang on until next year when the price goes up and sell them.....

haha already on the smuggling mission mate!
id love to ride yours over there mate i rode mats kona the day i saw you last and it was first full sus id been on so nothing to compare it to really!
hope the knees getting there mate!
defo just after xmas is the time im buying kids come first!

If you are going to use a dropper seat post ? Make sure the bike you buy can accommodate it without the post hitting the rear shock, Mistake that i made :-)

24 inch wheel is a bit of a gimmicky phase some people had, ignore it. You dont see the top racers using them!

Have a look at hannibals giant reign x. Its a good bike, not full on dh rig but big and strong for jumps and drops

Later ones look ok but not seen one in the flesh, older ones just look dated big time. Think there's a few year old one on pink bike for 800 with some nice bits on it

Some of the Specialised Big Hit (cant remember what year) had 26 front and 24 rear, a bit wierd but it was a popular bike and lots cheapish second hand, I used to have one, got mine 2nd hand but it had the conversion fitted so it used a 26" rear.........like the Kona's ..tons available 2nd hand for cheap.
