Hi all,

Thinking of getting a new toy to mess about on but I've been looking on eBay and there seems to be a mix of 24 and 26 inch wheel choice. I'm looking for some advice here really as to what I should go for? I currently mainly ride trail centres and local woods and own a Lapierre Zesty 314, but really facing getting back into jumping and pulling off some 360's like back in the good old bmx days!!

I'm viewing a DMR Trailstar 2 in mattet black Tuesday believe its a 26er..

Cheers Dan

P.S if anyone has such bike ie, Identiti, DMR, NS and is considering selling it give me a shout.

Only real difference now is preference it used to be 24 was easier to spin as less weight but nowadays its all light so makes no difference I would say go 26 mainly because tires are easier to get

Funny that as i'm looking at getting a full suss (shock horror !) to replace my hardtail after my knees took a right pounding, what size is your 314 ?

might be able to work out a deal on bikes/frames if you fancy a hardcore hardtail its not a full on jump bike though

Plus you can ride it first to see how it feels, it will take both 26 and 24 wheels.

It doesn't matter what you ride

Thanks for the offer but at the moment I'm planning on keeping my Zesty as I absolutely love it.. just looking to add to my fleet but will let you know if anything changes.

Cheers wonkle, I've been thinking 26 its what I know and what I've been used to for years from xc hardtails to all mountain full susers.. Do you ride jumps, pump tracks etc? Where would you say is worth a visit?

Cheers Dan.
