Anyone got any recommendations for a reasonably priced 9 speed chain ?

it will literally be a 9 speed so needs to be quite strong

and will need some form of quick link

i had a look at the kmc ones they seem quite pricey or am i just being tight?

my chain is just slipping into the .75 marker on my chain checker so due a replacement very soon

I tried to use a KMC X9L Gold with my SRAM X0 9speeed a while back and it didn't work. It might have been me being a muppet. I think its good for shimano though. Not all 9speed chains are the same it would appear. I can bring it on Saturday if you want to try it out. If you want it you can have it for a tenner.

This should work fine, we use almost solely KMC chains on all bike repairs at the shop, so must be down to the setup

Also, i used a standard X9L on a 9sp X0 setup for a number of months without issue! Good chains.

For strength you would go some to break one of these:

http://ison-distribution.com/english/product.php?part=CHGUDH9H

The top side isn't cut so its got the strength of a single speed chain, with the flexibility of a 9 speed chain and is also quick link.

Ive run one on my 4x bike this season and no issues with the chain at all.

WIN!
