So i know Hylands park is used as one of the venues for MSG but are you able to ride round there all year or is it closed apart from special events? if so is it worth a visit for some xc?

Im from near to colchester so not too far out the way,Im going over to Danbury tomorrow morning so i was thinking of stopping off at Hylands on the way back depending on how the mornings session goes, I was over at Tunstall today and ive now got the urge to start doing a lot more xc instead of walking up a hill and bombing back down it all the time.

Either go early or go late as there's a he'll of a lot of dog walkers and runners who use the single track.
I rode it Tuesday night and it's still propper sloppy

Its a good place to ride but as said above gets pretty packed on nice days with dog walkers, so some of the trails get a little busy...

Can place together a good 13 odd mile xc route over there as well.... The track by the golf course aids the balance skills a lot

Well i got to Danbury today but didnt manage to stop at hylands on the way back but i made up for it by going on a 35mile road ride and explored the local area on roads i have no need to drive down normally.

May head over there next weekend but hoping to go further afield, Possibly Thetford or Langdon hills.

Quite flat, a bit narrow... that bit down by the golf course can get super muddy and it is quite tricky in parts, quite a short loop all in all, nice in the summer as a short blast if its dry... I go running through there and its better for that really
