Probably more for those who've yet to experience Welsh riding:

Anyone ridden at Coed Trallwm? It's one of the few I haven't been too and might as well do if I go to Brechfa over the Christmas break again.

I was planning on heading over to wales over xmas, weather and money pending.

This is my list id planned of places to go and in what order, the numbers inbetween locations are the miles between, starting off and finishing at home-

harwich-253-coed llandelga-48-coed y brenin-47-nant y arian-42-coed trallwn-38-brechfa-43-afan-50-cwmcarn-44-fod-204-harwich

i was thinking one/2 trail centers a day and 1/2 trails per a trail centre depending on how each day goes. ive got the time off work the only limiting factor is fuel money and if i sleep in the van or take a b&b for a couple of nights.

I at least plan to visit every one of those listed above next year.

Sounds like a great trip, your planning kev.
Theres more than half a days riding at most of them, you could easily spend 2 days at afan and cyb. Full day at llandegla and brechfa.
Another thing, driving in wales is slow mostly single lanes going north-south.
heres mine and mattv's reports from wales

have a good un :)

I just want to hit as many places as poss in a few days and pick a max of 4 hours riding per location, i went to cwmcarn and afan earlir this year and spent 3hours at each, i will be knackered within 3stops but its either get out and ride or spend 2 weeks sitting at home bored over xmas. Just hoping the snow and ice stays away.

It does miss out Snowdon here, which is probably worth the ride, and can take the whole day.

I've riden Llandegla, Coed y brenin, penmahcno and Gwydyr (Marin) for years. Would have to say Coed y Brenin is by far the best, the MBR trail is one of my favourites.

In terms of DH, antur stiniog and revolution haven't been mentioned, and are both very good. Revolution is full on DH, but you could get away with an am bike easily at Antur Stiniog and have a great time.

Not going for DH this time, just purely to ride some trails on my trance, Ive not got any concrete plans as to where im going yet and what order but if possible id like to keep it close to that list i have above just to scout each area out really, and then next year ill be going away for a long weekend once a month to one location at time.

No ones mentioned cli Mach trail from Machynlleth.. If you go to cyb you have to make time for this one! It's not far from cyb and is easily on par with dream time for flow and the descent seems to go on forever..
