Hi guys,

hopefully going to start off the new year as I mean to go on.

Really wanted to get out for a ride with some of you guys last year and now I finally have one of my first free weekends with the other half away working. Plus no rain forecasted  ........ yet.

I live in Chelmsford so happy to get out anywhere really, just seeing if anyone else was around and fancied it. Obviously my trail knowledge is a little weak, so would be great to have a guide ;) Otherwise it might just end up the good old fashioned way, using my inbuilt GPS and going wherever the wheels roll :)

Hopefully look forward to meeting up with some of you soon

Andy

They will be a mud bath mate..... For a relatively hassle free ride, you may be better off hitting up Langdon Hills, and it tends to have better drainage, so not as much thick mud. ;)

Thanks for the advice Nick.

I'm happy getting to langdon hills, if it will be a better ride, at the minute I'll be happy to just get out anywhere during daylight.

I was at Epping today and it is almost the worst that I have ever seen it.
Cases where the mud was up to my disc rotors all over the forest, not just in the south :/
Good luck :D
Sam.

Been over one tree hill and Langdon hills. Last week. Most of it rideable. Some tough boggy sections at the lower parts. Keeping on the bridle paths ok. Drainage fine. Grass boggy. Hoping to get their as well starting at one tree hill. So if anyone else going over there let me know. Good to have a hare in front of this old tortoise.
