Hi All!

I'm new on the forum and I would like to meet a group to ride in Epping forest. Next sunday 20th of January could be a good start.

I'm going from Finsbury Park. Any advise is welcome.

Cheers,
Nacho.

Hey Nacho, welcome along! I've never been to Epping myself.. did you make it out there today? A bit snowy no doubt.

Nacho keep an eye on the calender as to what's going on ride wise.

I got out today for a 45min blast...its running fastish but the branches over the trails had so much snow that they were hanging in your face on the single track. You just spent your entire time smashing into them and getting snow down your back. Highly entertaining... for a while.

Hi All, yes I did it on Saturday... there was no answer on the forum and I couldn't wait until Sunday. It was a very nice day, everything white and I took beautiful pictures.

I have many things to understand and learn. Maybe if any of you have experience can give me a hand.

I went to High Beach from finsbury park -> seven sisters -> tottenham hale -> and the path along the canals until the last water reservoir (King George Reservoir), and after first right and first left drove me to a corner where I saw a pub called The Plougi, and on the right side I used the road (Mott Street). I don't like to use the road, as could be dangerous. I'm sure there is different way to get there.

Once in High Beach, the views were beautiful, and I saw many MTB groups, but I'm too shy to ask... so I tried to follow their footprint in reverse way... Once I get into the deep forest, the views were even better, but finally I was afraid to get lost and I started my way back.

On my way back, I used a road called New Epping Road, it was a really disappointing experience, as the cars were overtaking me really close and fast. I think I put my life in risk for free... So please I would like some help to at least learn how to get and left High Beach in safety way.

Thanks in advance for your support,
Hope all of you have a great and healthy week and hope to share a ride soon. :)
