Hey, was wondering if there were any low budget 26" tires on the market that offered a decent amount of grip on the trail, or is it simply worth investing in a more expensive set? Cheers in advance!

Uh, I guess something that'd handle moderately on hard packed mud would be nice. I'm still pretty new to this MTB thing

And to Nellon, great link, thanks!

I use high rollers on everything.
Where is this hard packed mud you speak of?

Nowhere as of yet, but once I'm fully back into riding, it'll more then likely be coming up to the summer months, when I expect it'll be more hard packed, I assume.

I've sold loads of Schwalbe Alberts and Black sharks (if you want something a bit more mud) and they've proven very popular

Went for Rubber Queen 2.4's in the end. A little more, but damn are they huge! Run nice over pretty much everything, but do lose grip a small amount when tightly cornering on concrete.

Just a note: Managed to grab my Rubber queens' on ebay for £15/each. Had no Idea they're £30 in other shops!

Hi
Rubber Queens 2.4
Singletrack selling cheapest I believe.
Converting all of the bikes to them a s a p.
WTB tyres also good depending on conditions.
Must agree that tyres are the most important thing on the bike.
