If you are doing this make sure you are at the very front of the pack as the place will get churned to a muddy mess after the first 50 riders have been through and it will be a write off after a hundred or so

I'm already booked into this on the 25 mile route, apparently they have moved to a new venue due to the mud issues last year, but I'll be Maxxis Medusa shod regardless.

No, they are generally well sign posted. There was an option to hire a Garmin last month though.
