Hi mate

I am new to MTB and bought a DH bike + helmet etc last week.

I went over to Danbury yesterday to check it out and it was very very wet and muddy (which I don't mind but made it tricky).

I went there looking for the downhill section like I have seen in photos on this site but could not find it. I parked in the carpark off of Bicknacre Road which looked to be a pretty central carpark but could not find the downhill trail!

I may be down there on Sunday as well but only later on in the day, what time do you think you will be about until?

Cheers, Ryan

Here is a photo of Google Maps of Danbury. I parked in the carpark in basically the middle of the place. Could someone let me know which direction the trails are?!

Thanks (I know this is a massive NooB post and I'm sorry about that!!! )

Ryan

What trails are you looking for the runs are too the left of the big field in the woods .
Xc loops are all over linking all the various woods and bridle ways and nature reserves

From the Bricknacre carpark, head off into the woods to the top right of the picture shown. head up the hill twoards the big house.. you cant miss the downhill sections in their. And as Madasnibbor saysd the XC loop is all over the wooded areas around Danbury and can be linked together.. Need to know the areas though as some parts are for walkers only...

Check this web site front main page and go into the Danbury section, loads of info their..

See you out on a ride somewhere......

Walkers, dogs and children walk down the trails, so be vigilant.

I shall watchout for all of the above! I won't be hammering around anyway as I haven't ridden them before and I'm sure it will still be very muddy...

Never been stopped yet.. play it safe and they are all ok.. but like you say.. they like to leave little obstacles for their dogs to jump over 'cough cough' ;) ;) ;)

May join you unless some other exotic option comes up...
