Wash down with garden hose leave in garage to drip dry. After time when start to smell leave in garden to air, when it gets really bad I spray inside jacket with febreze.

Not use nikwax yet. I did look at wash-in nikwax goes in washing machine, I read it waterproof were water goes so going to cover item inside & out so stoping sweat getting out! making the jacket pointless.

So spray-On the way to go I think. They do washing liquid they meant not to harm the waterproof of items.

There is free sample can get from website will reproof one item. say like campack.

Shed loads about their products works. Google

Nikwax is fine on my Altura jacket. Just use the Techwash first the the wash in proofer and leave to drip dry. I've not had any problems with it waterproofing the inside as well as it's a breathable fabric and the waterproofer doesn't stop that!

I use the tech-wash stuff on its own in the washing machine, works beat if you clear out the tray of left over fabric softener.

You do have to be careful washing any breathable membrane jackets in a washing machine as bio liquids start to degrade it and also block the micro pores that actually make it breathable. With regards to reproofing I agree with the comments about tech wash and use either Gore 's own product or grangers

Grangers, the one you put in the washing machine. i use it on my goretex jacket and it even gives a bit of proofing to non waterproof shorts.
