Dya know what anything to aid with id and info ie: allergies is always a good idea ...especially penicilin! loads of bods have details in thier phones but phones brwak in crashes and most are locked!
so a sticker on your bike aint the worst idea!

Interesting as i really should have one for my heart. Do the emergency services now carry barcode readers ? When someone riding with me decided to nearly chop his leg off we couldn't get a mobile signal. Is a barcode the best idea when you need help urgently ?
I suppose a small laminate would do the job......
Fingers crossed no one will need to use it.

Can make oun Qr barcode and print out.

Think it's just trying to be clever. What wrong to typing out deals print laminitis and stick in backpack.

Edit: as Chatman edit again  and Sgom

I thought that Laser - also the thought is that if their service is down then the QR code won't work!

I was looking at putting together a site that we all could use to put our details on that we could produce our own QR sticker for so we are not dependant on anybody... may still do it but it may be a fool's errand :)

Perhaps EHMTB could incorporate ICE details / page into the site and make it part of our profile?

Thanks for posting this ive previously used a company called medi-tag but they are getting over priced on their services aswell as only really making fashion items rather than somthing good for sports

Ive just ordered one and paid a bit extra so I can put as much info on the tag as possible.

I love my friends and all that but I dont expect any of them to be able to remember my heart condition as they would have all of this to remember to tell the emergency services.

I have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and I have an implantable cardioverter defibrillator implanted on my right side of chest.

The qr code is a bit of a gimic but it will keep costs down.

Meditag had a manned phone line but it meant I had to pay 70 quid for a bracelet and the 30 quid a year to have my details kept at their office incase the emergency services ever needed to contact them...

That's interesting tomibiza.

I was speaking to a friend last night that has a son who has a host of special medical needs in the event of an accident - he said that the one his son has is linked to his son's NHS file so that medics and so on can potentially access his NHS records if needed.

Would be interesting to see what would need to be recorded and I can think of many ways that this could be done for very little cost.
