Its funny how the first attempted to book it got cancelled due to the snow, and today was the complete opposite with the sun shinning

Glad the weather held out for you and it looks like you had a great day!!

It was a wicked day with fabulous conditions. If you want to improve your riding, and feel safe and in control of what your doing, its well worth it.

Pics here http://essexhertsmtb.co.uk/php/flogr/in ... 6303327240 and some highlights below... worth noting that we started with a 6 inch drop and small table top to correct bad habitats, which we all had. We then worked up to the stuff below. For me the time spent on those small drops and jumps was the most important part of the day. Cheers Tony!

Its fair to say that the most terrifying thing I did while there, did not involve a bike

one of the lads there (15 yo) rode a line called exposure and Adam Tom and I followed, walking across it. 4inches wide and high high up...

Nice playground. How much training before you all was riding the big drop off image (5540867353_31cd55ebed_o.jpg) ?

We've been riding good sized stuff for a while.... here is Tom on the chickie big ladder in 2008 on a 4 inch trail bike

and Joel in Chatel in 2009

yada yada

... so we had already thown ourselves off some good sized stuff. However we would crash now and then and it was all self taught. We all had some glaring errors in our riding and needed someone to point them out.

I don't think we would have done 5540867353_31cd55ebed_o.jpg when we arrived for the day. However its more about giving you a framework so you can take your riding to whatever level your mental skills will allow, rather than teaching you to do big stuff.

As I mentioned the most important part of the day was Tony taking us back to school on a 6 inch drop. We could of course ride that in our sleep but we were doing it wrong and getting away with it cos its small... get it wrong on a 12ft drop and your in trouble... so its important to correct bad habits on the small stuff and then see where you can go from there.

That sounds spot on Jon. I seem to remember doing that drop 5 times in chatel and only not crashing once!
