Hello all.

I ride an orange five blackout pro, i'm newish to the area and not been out on the bike properly in the Brentwood area. Been on a few trips to the dales and stuff. Anyone know of any gem locations for a bit of Single track and somewhere to play round here?

Also, where's best to get my bike serviced round here?

Thanks for any help.

Craig

Welcome to the forum mate, good to have another brentwood boy on site.

Theres a normal ride over Thorndon on sundays meeting at the karting track at 945/10 start. Do mid week rides at 645/7 on Tuesdays and sometimes Thursdays. Momentuim (use to be bike trax) on the high st/just past the traffic lights is your best local bike shop.

Don't get me wrong they are all to a very good standard of riding and have got a mixed range of fittnesses, i'm the young one at 27 but have got a couple of 50+ that come along. When i first rode with the group (year and half ago) i was unfit and had no techncail skill, give it a few months going out with better people it makes you a better rider. I might not be there this sunday as going away but may go over there saturday instead if you wanted to start at the shallow end with arm bands...

Remember, we all started somewhere

Hi,
I have stripped my Hard rock down then my Camber free hub went.
Managed to get the free hub on and true wheel and back on the road. Riding a DH as a road bike makes your legs acke.
Chat next week and plan a ride out somewhere ( Have a racer or two as well . )
