A pump measures pressure not volume all the hose does is add a very small amount of volume to the system, i doubt its even a square inch ?

Cool it's just the way I was taught. My theory is 300ml air can has 125psi as you reattach the empty pump the 10ml hose fills with air hence now 100psi in the air can.

as per the link the air pressure drops when you re-attach the pump not the otherway round.

if your shock has no fluid in it the seals will leak some air over time also as they will be dry.

i have this shock pump and as you can see it has a valve attachment that first screws on to the valve then screws the pump into that, this helps reduce the losses.

Was going to but Em's car crapped out on me last night and I came home on a tow truck, then she sold the mx5 to a guy that wanted to pick it up this morning!

Only managed a 4 mile local loop, climbs ok to be honest for an anti up hill rider like me

Had a go over Danbury on sat morning, its very different to ride than my hardtail (with similar geometry !) Popping off the practice jumps i found is completely effortless to get some decent height and air, on the runs its a little daunting too, will take some practice to reign it in a little when needed so i don't over shoot stuff, but then i had virtually no rear brake so speed management was errr... interesting, to say the least and the full suss capability did help me once or twice where i went off piste or just out of control LOL even managed to burp a tire after popping over the ski jump and exiting the wrong way, having previously spoke to Andy about the usefulness of tubeless LOFL

Cant wait to put some miles on it to see how it holds up for XC type of stuff, but really want to get back over Danbury its hella fun on this, probably more so than the HT, and that's saying something !!

Might put a 10mm longer stem on it though.
