Hi all I'm still off the bike for at least another 10 days. ( i was crippled with pain after 15 mins on a segway on Sunday so a long road ahead:) )
just wondering if I should eBay the rebas (120mm) and purchase some fox talas forks. I can only afford one bike at the moment would the fox 120-150mm make the 456 a do all steed my hubs are adjustable so I could also get a Maxle fork to stiffen up the front ?

Rockshox Revelation with U-Turn another good option and don't need the TLC the Fox do?

I have last years Dual Air 150 RLT Revelations with 15mm maxle lite and they are great forks. Easy to strip and service too. Not travel adjustable on the fly though. I think forks with U-turn are from 2010 and older so you should be able to pick up a bargain somewhere.

U-Turn is adjustable on the fly but.....

You can wind the travel down simply, even whilst on the move but to get the travel backup you have to unweight the front so unless you're really feckin good at wheelies its a stop lift and twist action..

Well they were for sale at about £250 when they went end of line so perhaps £180 - £200?

I had £200 in mind I might put them on PB for £250 and see what I get offered :) as you can't get them anymore and they are cracking forks if you want 120mm travel

If I was buying forks again though I'd bite the bullet and go maxle...

I get fed up trying to get/keep the wheel lined up centred correctly each time wheel removed, etc..
Jon suggested a better skewer whose end occupies the 'cup' in the base of the fork lower though to stop it shifting off centre.. I'd still imagine maxle would be more rigid though and not require lining up with brakes each time too.
