Yes they are. Best thing is to get a map, or get one printed. Park at Brandon park, 70p for the whole day during the week. Pick up the blue run, cross the road and follow it all the way to High Lodge and start from here for the red, I wouldn't bother with doing the full blue, loop the Beast as it is the section with more fun
Nice café at Brandon park for cake and drink.
