My thinking was if you can strip it down and service it at home. It should last a while

Jon, what issue you had with the reverb specifically?

Done my 4 year old gravity dropper classic tonight for I think the third time since ive had it. Dismantled, cleaned, replaced slider springs, new cable and outer then reassembled. Now working slick. If you can live with slightly less drop than some other offerings then its a reliable bit of kit and you can easily obtain spares and fettle it at home. The Thomson dropper has to be the one if if I ever replace the GD..

One of the reasons I decided to join the missies and become a teacher. I don't miss being self employed for a minute ( bar the money ) but I finish my degree next year and will be earning money again :)

So it won't lock every time on lower heights. Strip and re lube straight away ? Or is there an adjustment ?

If its similar to gravity dropper it's all controlled by the top collar.. Try the gravity dropper website and check out the schematic if its similar or if t mars have a schematic practice your Chinese.

Its developed sag, even with a good bleed and air-pressure set correctly. Pretty common looking at the internet feedback ive read.

Shouldgetoutmore. (Clay) had the same issue (sag) straight out the box with his brand new stealth reverb, they replaced it on warranty tho..

With my flat chainsaw file I adjusted the back of the seat clamp and the black box now the post sits flush :)
Definitely needed a strip and rebuild as it was hardly lubed and now has rockshox butter lubricating it :)
Plus mine has a cable adjuster inline ill post pics later
