My exact one was reviewed this month in mountain biking uk mag and didn't do that great, on paper they said it was the one to beat but on the trail the shocks let it down as they were to linear, that's a new one on me! The frame however is "absolutely excellent"

Yeah, I read that review last night. It has put me off quite a lot to be honest! I've read about the 2013 Fox 34s having issues in other reviews for other bikes so was already a little concerned!

OK, so I'm no better than an average rider, but I am quite fussy about setting up suspension, and I'm also a bit fussy about things working how they're supposed to!

Have you had to set yours up with more pressure in the shock/fork than recomended for your weight?

I'm still gonna try and meet the fella local to me on Saturday who has one, but I'm very dubious now :(

Its unlikely you would beable to buy a 2013 model now as a lot are out of stock, so you may ahve to wait for 2014 anyways, and I would to avoid the 2013 fox and wait to see improvements.

No, ive not had a play about with pressures yet as i've not been riding much lately due to a back injury. Its a shame the fox 34's don't come up to expectations but to be honest i think they're good enough for me. I just point it downwards and cling on.

Stick 10- 30ml of oil in the air chamber - it sort of sorts the 34 floats out... the volume kit for the rear shock does the same.
