Booked in for this race as it's a good course, and worth it to see the roadies falling off going down the hilly rooty sections

Hi all,
Thinking of having a go at Langdon Hills race turn up and hope .
Question DH bike be alright to race with. Caamber is off road ( pieces)

Wide handle bars on it to go through tight trees.
Heavy up hill but good fun down them.
Any advise be good .
Dont fancy be dirt bikes (Saddle low ) or my hard tail (to heavy ) .

Not a DH as there's longer ups than downs, HT will be the better choice even if it is heavy.

Deffo a ht bike.. The up hills at sharp and steep some of them but also has a few good down hill bits (good for collecting water bottles as they get shaken out)

Brilliant race today, they ran a good course and mixed in some wooded sections as well, so kept off the fire roads and tracks to a minimum.. Ground was dry and dusty and very loose in the corners so stone rash tattoos where being made...

The up hill sections where short and sharp real leg burners but also the down hill sections fun as well... There was a crash on start lap 100mtrs from start for the elite riders firstly... Elbows out. The roadies in the race couldn't tackle some of the down hills sections, I almost cut one a new ass hole he almost stopped dead on a bend going down the rooty tooty hill...... All on the MSG crew put on a good race and the weather again was kind...

The last round 8 is at Hadleigh Olympic MTB track on 29th Sept.. Pre Bookings only, so no on the day allowed. It's going to be fun on their...
