Hi there,

Maybe it is just me, but I really enjoy XC Mountain Biking. I'm not really one for jumping off of big jumps, breaking myself just doesn't appeal! I am however getting into technical riding and want to build on what I already know (honestly, it is not that much, HA!).

ANYWAYS.... does anyone know of any good locations to ride XC? Or even better, is anyone up for a ride (this weekend)? I am fairly new to riding on a decent MTB and have only covered parts of the North downs and Surrey Hills. I am based in South London and can be free on most Saturday's and possibly Sunday's (if the trains are working).

Let me know.

Al

Youll find that even those of us 'into' DH still spend a lot of time on XC routes either out of choice or because we dont have long DH runs on our doorsteps, in fact, I've decided to build a new bike with slightly less DH attributes in favour of an all round/freeride bike.

Will be riding Surrey Hills on Sat if your around that way!
I have no idea where I'm going and only a dodgy phone map so I'll be the one stopping on every corner...

Here I am! Free only at weekends, but as you said prefer Saturday because of better train services.
I can't do this weekend but the next one I should be free.
I am base in South East London (Surrey Quays SE16)
