Heya, I've just moved to London after a while living in Germany, and caught the mountainbiking bug after going to a bike park (winterburg) with some of the guys I used to work with.

I snowboard as well when I can get away, being a northerner I used to ride at the indoor fridge in Manchester (CFe) and usually ride around klosters/davos.

Welcome Chris, there are plenty of rides happening all over the place so keep an eye out on the forum.

There are also a few keen snowboarders on the forum including Grin.

Welcome chrisg - what do you think of winterberg as a bike park - I was considering a trip there late summer ?

Where abouts in London are you?

I started biking as a summer fix for my love of skiing. Snow sport techniques seem to translate really well to the dirt!

See you out on a ride soon.

Thanks for the welcome :)

As for winterberg, I had loads of fun even though it was an incredibly wet day, I didn't try the DH trail as I was staying to the 4x trails etc, but the DH run was meant to be pretty good especially when it was wet through ;)

I moved to West Drayton when I got back to the UK but I'm searching for somewhere in Zone 1 or 2 so I'm closer to work and the main stations to get places! (it takes about an hour on the train to get to Euston at the moment)

Hopefully should be up for a ride depending what's going on the weekend after this one coming, either the M sized Specialized pitch will be comfortable or the S will turn up some time before Friday, so I can go ride up in Glossop with a few mates on Saturday :D (I asked the shop to order in a S and a M, but they got two M's, oops)
