Hi all.
Just purchased a bike so I can go play in the forest, are there any 'mature' riders who just like to pootle around Epping Forest getting muddy and stopping for tea? I'm sure I can't be the only one??

I love the idea of flat out, MotoX style jumps etc but think I'm a bit past it now :-)

Would be nice to meet up with someone who knows the forest (and enjoys tea)

Cheers,
Chris.

Welcome along,
What you describe is what MTB'ing is all about, but with added bacons.
There's plenty of people who know Epping really well, remember were not roadies and will always wait for the last rider.

Age is no penalty here!

Hey Chris

A little group of us ride most Sundays mornings at a 'moderate' pace ;) and as VW says we'll wait for the last person out of the section, which is just as well because it's often me, so in the unlikely event that you're slower than us don't about it :D

Must admit this coming Sunday is looking a bit 50/50 on the weather but keep an eye on the calender and if we're out it'll be posted up.

Might be out on Thursday afternoon with my 9 year old son for a gentle couple of hours. I'm not certain yet as his knee is still a bit sore from a bit of an OTB at Swinley yesterday. If we're out it would be from about 1:00 ish and I'll post it up in the morning ;)

Moderate sounds good, almost wonder how moderate it is, but I guess there is only one way to find out?
Don't think I will be able to get out this weekend as we have friends coming over, not even sure the weather is on my side at the moment either, slightly damp today :-)

I'll keep an eye on the calendar to see when people are out

As it truns out I'm on childcare duties this Sunday so assuming the weather holds in the morning we'll do a couple of hours at Redbridge.

Normal Epping mud slogging should be resumed next Sunday and I'll post details ;)
