Hi There!

I'm a newbie to the forum, and am planning on taking a visit to Danbury this Saturday with a friend, neither of us have been to Danbury before and was wondering if anyone could recommend some easy XC trails.

If anyone is there themselves then let us know it would be even better to have someone to show us round the place.

Cheers

A lot of the danbury xc trails are hard to find, but worth it if you can, but its worth knowing that your not meant to ride most of them!

XC Trails means cross country stuff, Danbury is pretty much all very fast trails with lots of jumps, tight turns and steep drops. It was good fun but first time I went I came off my bike as I'd not done that sort of riding before, if you want to give it a go take it slow and maybe wear some pads!

Thanks dan that's some real help. I've done moto x for a fair while but haven't risen in a while. It's easier on a proper bike as you have power on your side. Is there anywhere that's similar to Danbury but with less pressure. I feel there will be lots of good people and I'll be in the way

Well of you've done moto x before then you should be used that style of riding. Danbury doesn't get too busy you shouldn't be in anyone's way, its not an official trail centre, the trails are maintained by the riders mostly. I'm afraid I dont really know of anywhere else similar to Danbury, but there are other places around the area to ride such as Epping Forest, and if you want some easier XC stuff Hockley woods is good that's where I tend to ride

There's a lot more to Danbury than just the common and jumpy stuff.

As above... their are miles and miles of trail to warm up the legs before hitting the jumps.. we can easily ride out on a good 15 - 20 miler XC loop...+ a cake stop as well...
