Like the endomondo but using strava so we're all using the same path. Create a segment with EHMTB at the begining to make it stand out...and try to make it a little more nteresting than the already existing 'normal' strava segments.

I've just done one for Danbury (EHMTB - bombhole run back to top and down on the right hand run to car park) a little more involved than just the normal runs.. i also wanted to log some others but was to busy having fun on the drops and jumps, maybe next time).

not sure how you link to just the one segment ? but i clocked up 7.27 that included having a chat at the top and saying goodbye to a few guys so easily beaten (although i clocked up 5th fastest time on the right hand rooty run back to the car park :)

try this: http://www.strava.com/segments/6846955?filter=overall

Me and Ian found a good DH segment from
The Scout Camp in lingwoods, bloody brilliant segment a bit wet on one bit, so when it dries out it's going to be FAST....

For thoughts that have not got strava on their phone, can still get involved. You can use endomonde, just start and end your "workout" and save the file on the phone, which sends it to the web site. Log into their site on a computer, view your workout and choose the "Export" option to save the .GPX file to your computer. Next, login to Strava and navigate to Upload Activity and "Upload a file on your computer": Navigate to the file and upload it.

Finding names for them all is the hard part, especially if you are doing a variation of other bits as Jon has done.

When I see local ones I often recognise many of the names and hopefully see my attempt in the top 20 or so but in the Alps, you do a run you think was fast and then in Strava you are number 5432 or something :(

^^^ thats why the EHMTB segments should have EHMTB at the beginning of the name and also incorporate something different to the 'normal' logged trails that are on strava so they stand out and not get over crowded with all and sundry, the danbury one i posted is down a normal run but then back up and then down the little used other side, no one in their right mind would do that 'by accident' LOL

Probably know! On a Strava Segment can click Club then EHMTB so will only show EHMTB riders.
I don't see Chatman though as he so far down list :P

 I got a place in this segment.

I went out last night and added some "Enduro style" stages to the XC loop over danbury.
I was thinking over the coming months we'll see who gets the fastest times on al 3 to be named "The Winner"

http://www.strava.com/activities/126326 ... 2842152442

This one starts at the path way, down over the stream and climbs back up.

http://www.strava.com/activities/126328 ... 2842333760

Straight forward, from gate to gate, jumps included. (bloody muddy at the moment though)

http://www.strava.com/activities/126331 ... 2842328772

Last one includes a little bit of wales, but starts way back at the main pathway and includes the small climb back up to the clearing ;)

Has anyone else been really pestered by walkers over Danbury of late. Bloody irritating. They speak to you like you've burgled their bloody house! Ride for 2 hours see one walker who is convinced they own the woodland and all the trees in it and I've murdere3d their first born! Grrrrrrrrrrr bad day....
