Garmin edge 705 - I think Stumpie had a 705 or 800

I got a baby gamin 200 as I like stats. Quick to pick up GPS in woods long battery and accurate data, all the things a phone is not. I have not interest in hart rate thought is meant to be good for training. I have used my to follow train GPX. were the Big boy have background maps then just an arrow.

Easy to copy file from Gamin to Strava.

Have you looked at the Bryton don't now how well they work, price is cheaper did see you get hart rate mon were Garmin there lots od add ons.

I have the Edge 510 and it's proved brilliant, it links up with my phone via bluetooth and tracks my Cadence, Speed, Heart Rate etc, it's been very useful for the turbo trainer to get some context in how far to push.

On days out, it keeps the missus happy as it reports back my location while on the bike so she can see that I'm still alive and it doesn't eat my phone battery.

510 has an added bonus of GLASNOS, which is the Russian GPS network, works loads better in the woods during the summer than the 810 I trialled did.

What do they know ;)

500 only does an arrow turn for turn No background. Should copy files off anyway Strava to view or as data stick on dropbox or mega.

Don't know how big drive is on Garmins. Also Garmin connect website meant to be getting a revamp.

I think it's going to be the edge 705, ticks 99% of the boxes, not bad prices on eBay at the moment...

Cheers Shelfside.....
