Hi all I have been recommended to try this forum as I really enjoy being out on my bike flying through the woods and trying to practice my skills, but since ive been back on my bike I have had to go out on my own as I don't really know anyone else who enjoys the same things as me, I generally go out into wormley woods as its close to home and try to keep paths clear and keep the small jumps others have made quiet and the trails down the hills clear as they are good fun. id like to find others who are around this area to maybe meet with there groups etc for riding and trail clearing
if anybody would be interested or wouldn't mind a tag along let me know. thanks

Next time you guys are out drop me a PM. I live on the corner of Wormley woods at the end of Devils Lane and I'm always looking for riding buddies

OK great do you use the windy trail from the top that has a few small jumps and a burm? Every other week I go there some kind person has kindly kicked the jumps over its a good little route and you can get some good speed. I try and clear the track and make it more visible

It's one of my favourite parts of the woods especially as I usually ride alone and i like to practice along the sides of the stream.

I've never been there, usually I ride Epping and i've been to Broxbourne woods a few times but didn't find anything too good, Wormley will be a nice change.

I'm free all the time so if you guys want to ride just let me know.

@DK

Errrm Bit of bad news on the trail you have mentioned, someone has been riding a HORSE up n down, turned it into a right mud bath with its hooves
. I always expected the MX bikers to find it sooner or later, but a bloody Horse !!!!

Oh really. That's ridiculous. The horses have all the bridal ways and now the small tracks and out of mx and horses us MTBers still leave little evidence that we were there. I'll have to have a look this weekend

Had a great time out on Sunday in the sun. Still a little wet and slippery in some places but managed to get over to my favourite piece of single track I've found so far.

How many of you made it out this weekend ??

Yep.
I was out over the far west side of Wormley practicing on "Dead Mans Berm" though.
It's a bit off camber and I cant get the hang of, carrying enough speed through it, to coast the next uphill.

I'm keen for a ride around Broxbourne Woods tomorrow. It's going to be a hard slog with the rain over the past few days.

What time were you thinking? Early morning would be best.

Cheers
