hey chris i have the long version of the the troy lee and love it. its saved me from some pretty big offs. depends what your using it for as its overkill for genrall riding. anything remotley downhill and you can ride without feeling like robo cop but with some real protection. i can bring it up enfield next time your around so you can size it up if you like.
General riding I don't wear anything. This is only for when I'm doing jumps and drops so not too bothered about looks but would like something not robo cop style haha. Yeah that would be good so I can get an idea of size.
Last Sunday I hit the bottom table top (Danbury) at speed and completely missed the landing. I landed going into the bombhole and had too much speed to correct it. All I remember is Brad laughing at me crippled on the floor. Cuts and bruises everywhere and ripped shoulder that's still swollen. I'm not too fussed about the superficial stuff that'll heal anyway. But the day i got home I had a cold bath and then couldn't walk the whole afternoon which was worrying. Mainly looking for good back and rib protection in something that's durable. I like the shirt styles but not overly confident they're gonna last very long. Found some other styles but they don't offer shoulder protection.
