Not sure where to go.
Might just take dogs out local or danbury /Thorden .......
If anyone is out and about put it up please.
Not sure which bike I will be on but it will be a slow ride.
When I decide for sure I will post it.
There is a race in Gillingham kent considering but depends on bike .

Going to Google Capstone race now see what it like there.

Hi all ,
A bit late in doing but had a bit of a problem at work at had my mind focused on the problem , a rare occurrance
but neccessary.

Right I decided to turn up on the day as was not sure of my movements .
So off i trundled to Capstone - obligatory getting lost and approaching from Dover instead of London came across the Capstone road-country park.
Plenty of time .
signed on and decided to have a look at the course .
It follows .
First across the top field in a Z .
Then along a track down a fast slope to a left 90 degree up hill root climb.
Top a right and across the otherside of field past toilet block / carparks brindle route stoney but again pretty quick.
Hack a left and through tree path windy but again no problems (as long as you dont clip log ssides.
Then to the down a sloop which was long and very very fast and at the bottom a 90 degree right with a tree 10 feet round the corner two tracks wide and sharp.
middle line deadly.
up through some more roughage and down another slop past steel benches and up again a very long and fairly steep climb.
Then you go through a tec bit of wood land not to problematic out again .
(There cycle gates that are more like obsticles to be over come and surprisingly very few people new how to go through them easily. ), Then you do a left down a very step track a metre wide at most with more roots and mud than I have ever seen and took a good deal of skill to go atbreak kneck speed .......
Then up the other side with more roots and a steep climb.
180 degree turn and down the other side to another climb up the hill then more cycle gaps and through a stretch of wood and up a sloop next to stairs and across filds to finish.
I got lost and went back before the root section to the start line so that came as a bit of a surprise (fun ).
Well the start was delayed till my start time for reasonds I will give later .
At the start the commissioner and the racers had a bit of a banter agreed laps and from that instaed of haviing only two laps todo
i had to complete 4 ( Four ) .
Was up for it but wondered what state I was going to be in....
Now my trusty steed I chose to ride due to my little session of hugging a tree in my camber ( Not fixed yet but soon to be. ) Was my big hit .this did attract attention as it was not really the most suited bike to be riding .
Back to the start the off.
Well by the time I got to the end of the field I was talking to myself with no one in sight.
It was afun ride out with only the slope with the 90 degree turn to the right with the tree giving a real cause for concern as I hit the brakes at the bottom whislst flat out and the rain started and the grass was slippy and the last of four laps tide and fatiage sent in and the control I did was amazing and I staied up right and round the corner like I was a true pro.....
Now the best bit I crossed the line . Shock horror FIRST PLACE 4/5 th over all. (NOT sure.
Now the truth.
There was five in the race and I was the only one in the cat I was in..
Now to be ending on a better not I did four laps in 1.27 mins and I could have done a fith but felt sorry for the marshalls.
I was doing laps in 22/5minsapprox consistantly on abike that had advantages going down but was not so good pushing it up those step hills.
The rooty bit was good fun on it and it showed its true potential in the cotrol.
Had a great day out and the medal (GOLD ) is a prize I will keep .
Roll on Bury and Port talbot.
