Yeah, nice trails. Its a shame I had to cut it a bit short. I missed my favourite trail where we split up, the downhill bit all the way to the pub. Good to see new faces too.

It was a nice ride today. Mostly mud-free(my rear derailleur thinks otherwise).

I got 12.8GB worth of footage (151 mins). I don't have the time right now to go over it and extract just the good bits, but I can upload the 4 videos as they are, so you can have a look.

EDIT: Due to appalling UK Broadband upload speeds, each video will take more than half an hour to upload. I will post links as soon as they are ready.

Nice stuff. no rush mate. Plenty to go thru to get the best bits.

I was hurting on all of them, with my heart rate at 195-202 BPM. The trick is to push hard, and reach the top first, so you have the biggest break, while waiting for the others.

PS. Videos still uploading. 2 of 5 done, but I forgot to change the camera settings, they are upside down and now YouTube is flipping them for me. Also Youtube hasn't processed them in 1080p yet.

You are right about the breaks. Thing is I can't push too hard up those hills as my legs give up, better to pace myself maybe.

If legs are the limiting factor, drop to a lower gear or two and start spinning. I've got the other problem, pulse too high, heavy breathing, but legs are fine.

Sometimes I prefer not to use the lowest gears. It depends on the severity of climb of course.

Being in my late 40's, if my heart rate was anywhere near that, it would be more than in a bit of pain I was in... I'd be in casualty :wtf:
