Lost count of how many times I've done the Exmoor Explorer now (12 times I think), but it was as well organised as ever. Maybe next year some of you could make the trip and do the ride with me too
This years even was a little different. To encourage new riders everyone rode the first 9.5 loop. The next loop was 10.5 miles followed by a 13 mile 'killer' loop. Somehow my brother managed to persuade me to do the last loop after we finished the first two in just over 2 hours. Over 5000ft of climbing in total, with some great singletrack descents.
The coolest part is that I got overtaken by THE Keith Bontrager (he did the whole lot 30 minutes quicker than me!).
After the second loop we had to nip back to the van to do a quick gear cable change on my brothers bike as he's shredded it somehow, so I blame him for the extra time.

Did you not stop Keith and have a chat ?

I think he probably passed me on the last loop, on one of the 4 mile climbs so would have been rude to stop him!
