Not sure if this bike was available before but Giant has released an entry level full sus for £1k for 2015 and its a gool looking bike, just like the rest of their trail bikes.

Basic components as expected but plenty of scope for upgrades after few months but I thought its a great budget buy for a full sus newbie.

Its probably right considering that Giant has decided not to mention it anywhere under the specifications.

Giant never list weights for any of their bikes even the top spec.
Weight depends on bike size and all components have a build tolerance. So book weights aren't accurate anyway.

love this disclaimer

BIKE CLASSIFICATION

Bikes in this category include those from categories 1 and 2 and are designed for harsher, unpaved terrain. The scope for these bikes includes occasional jumps up to a maximum height of 60 cm. Jumps of this scale can cause inexperienced riders to have accidents on landing, which can result in injury. Hardtail mountain bikes and full-suspension bikes with short travel are included in this category.

Direct sale of course so no competition there but for a beginner I would not think it would be wise to order online without trying and seeing it. I had the same dilemma when I got into this 1yr ago and geometry chart, top tube length meant little to me back then. I just had to sit on it before buying.

Nevertheless, its an unbeatable package that Nerve.

@whytey..
Totally agree with you about the beginner going to a physical shop to see and test, but the shops I have around my way..Halfords, Evans etc
I would rather take my chance online... :lol: :lol: :lol:
And "I" certainly wouldn't give either of them my hard earned money..!!
