Forecast is good so....

Usual loop from the past couple of rides.

We ride for about 3-4 hrs ( maybe a bit longer ) and cover about 20 miles ;) depending on the route. Pace is moderate with a bacon stop about halfway through

Leaving at 10:00am from Bury Rd car park. http://goo.gl/maps/BFzFT

The car park linked is in two halves... rough part and a tarmac part. Either part is fine as you can see one from the other.

If you're running late and miss the start you may be able to join us at the bacon stop here - https://goo.gl/maps/z3ni5 We usually stop at the cafe next to the Kings Head at about 12:00, although be warned we don't always stop there and the time can vary ;)

All Welcome.

I'll be in a blue VW Transporter.

Hi Bugeye,

I'd like to join in on this as a newbie if ok.
Just a couple of q's though, what happens if;
- I fall behind too far/can't keep up?
- Do you take any short breaks in between the main?

I'd just feel awkward if I was holding you all back.
cheers

Hi Hass,

It's an 'all welcome' ride so that includes newbies ;)

We stop at the end of each 'section' for everyone to catch up and get their breath back, although maybe not as much as you would like :wtf:

The first loop before the bacon stop is 8 miles so that's a good place to bail if it's getting a bit much although tbh we can usually give you directions back to the car park from most places.

Don't worry about people waiting for you.... it's part of this type of ride. I'm not always ( ok usually ) first to the top of climbs so people wait for me ;)

I suppose if someone was really, really, really slow it might be suggested that the pace means the ride is going to take too long and that maybe they might make their own way back to the car park.... but it hasn't happened yet :)

Best thing to do is give it a go and see how you get on

Nice one. thanks for that. I will see you guys there on Sunday if all goes well (I'll have a grey C class Merc).
hopefully I'll be good for the first 8 miles and if it gets too much, I'll bug out earlier. need to do this regularly and build up my stamina again...

I will be there. It was my first time when we went a couple of weeks back and the other more experienced riders were a good bunch.

Would recommend it to any newbies.
