Got myself a little project going. This is like the 5th time ive stripped this bike down completely for various reasons. Also the 4th different color scheme i am having for this bike. Poor thing always becomes a victim of my boredom

A few days ago it looked like this:

And the idea is to get it looking something like this:

The actual polishing up process is pretty simple and not too long to do, (and i find it pretty enjoyable lol) but its getting rid of the left over factory paint which is a real pain in the arse! My paint stripper isnt doing anything to it. Maybe i should keep applying paint stripper for like a day or so, then have a go at removing it then?

Never really been a fan of full suss bikes in terms of looks, but thats gotta be up there among the best looking ive seen. Full suss bikes look good when the shock mounts on the top tube IMO. Nice decals on the bottom of the fork lowers too.

That polishing is excellent. Id be chuffed if i get something like that. Did you do it by hand?

Right so i bought some cheap fox's on ebay months ago, stanchtions are a bit fubared so will be getting all ghetto on them to repair them, trouble is once i have something like spare forks i need something to put them on.
I was looking for a HT frame that was 142 rear with tapered head tube in 29er, harder than it might sound at a reasonable cost.
anywhoo, came across this. put a cheeky bid in and won it!

anyway onwards to bargain hunting.
