Hi all , up date.
280 miles there 1.5hours 280 miles back.
Race was 5 k real mountaion biking . Fun, Dangerous and hard work.
Up hill near on verticle and same down hill . loose dirt with large rocks in it. Contact on a rock on the way down was deasly as I found out on many occassions. Best investment was the dropper seat. made all the differance in confidence.
Bum on the rear wheel .Not so much wood and flat ground . Enjoyed it . Not fit as previously last year .No upper body strengh and suffering still reactive aurthoritus.(Wish he would go away ) as for near on 3 months suffering and pain killers .
came in as aexpected 10th (last ) surprised and done two laps out of three .
Made (not sure a good idea at the start ) a change of tyres . Put 2 on instead of the 2.4 rubber queens. they where XC comp tyres flat centre nobbly on the edge.
They done well but maybe should have stuck with the heavy duty jobs.
A and B lines . The A lines where real challenges and the B lines where not much differant except longer .
plenty of tumbles in the previous races and medical where kept busy.
this confirms that Cornwall and Devon do have some good riding areas as good as the welsh .
Managed to hold on to 7 place in Nat rankings but need to get fitter soon.
Next ride at Hadleigh Champs 10.05.15 then National at Wells . in May.
Anybody that enjoys riding should do a race somewhere as the fun and the challenge against overs weither you win /loose or fall , gives you some additional reasons to ride.
Hope I can get fit enough to ride with group soon .
Bob
Spencer keep well and thanks for the offer of tickets but been really busy and ill . Get in touch soon hopefully for a ride out . (Got to recover from Sunday -take ages as in agony as I write . One ride Bob
