Day 1 - St Bees to Portinscale, 10th June
40.36 miles 1401m climb.
On leaving St Bees the route takes us along the national cycle route past Frizzington and into the heart of the Lake District, crossing Loweswater Fell and Brackenthwaite Fell on the way to Whinlatter Pass. There we join the Quercus and Altura mtb trails for a loop of the forests before descending into Potinscale to finish day 1

Day 2 - Portinscale to Kirkby Stephen, 11th June
52.15 miles 1629m climb.
Heading out of Portinscale we head through the town of Keswick and on towards the Old Coach Road at Matterdale Common, passing Threlkeld Knots as we go. We pass around Ullswater and down Boredale Beck as we make our way towards Shap. Heading off road again at Orton we climb through Great Asby Scar on our way to our overnight stop at Kirkby Stephen

Day 3 - Kirkby Stephen to Leeming Bar, 12th June
49.62 miles 1408m climb.
Another tough day awaits as were soon off road again crossing the Dales on our way to the much heralded Swaledale. The moors at Arkengarthdale and Whaw lie in wait as we we head towards Hurst Moor and the rocky descent at the famous Fremington Edge. We then join the national cycle route for our final push towards Leeming Bar and our bed for the night.

Day 4 - Leeming Bar to Robin Hood’s Bay, 13th June
57.87 miles 1453m climb.
The Yorkshire Moors await on our longest day as we ride on towards the finish. Following the roads to Northallerton we head off the beaten track towards Chop Gate and Cockayne Ridge. There is no respite for us as we are straight onto Glaisdale Moor after which the finish line is now in sight. One last push towards Whitby and a final descent to Robin Hood’s Bay will se us reach our final destination, The North Sea and the finish of the Crudcatcher Challenge.
