Evans are doing a Ride It in Hatfield on 6th June

http://www.evanscycles.com/pages/rideit-hatfield-mtb-ride-6th-june-2015

As its local and does not entail a massive long journey to get there

Not technical in any way but good to stretch the legs out

What I dont get about evan cycles events is that there is no charge though on the event info sheet it says its X amount to enter. Whats up with that

...and you can stuff you pockets with free stuff like gels and energy bars at the feed stations. That way you get the money back Fishey ;-)

Its pointless to pay for a ride if you know the place inside out. But it could be worth it when riding somewhere not familiar with the place and everything is signposted so you don't waste time to figure out which way to go. Just keep pedaling.

Also you can learn new places to ride and do the course afterwards.

Used up a few of my gel supplies in the peaks, so need to replenish the supplies

Right booked up for this, Its not going to be anything technical and probably be full of roadies all clipped in, hopefully some of the single track sections will have em off

Some of the guys at work who are local to this are also going to be doing it.

Somewhere new to ride and different trees to look at.

This could get interesting as the Long MTB route goes through Broxbourne-Danmead Woods..
I expect Esme(from BushCraft) to be a little put-out

From the map it is cutting through the top half by Highfield wood and Cowheath wood, then up through Hoddesdonpark wood and Box wood

Hi all, forum lurker finally breaking cover...

I have ridden Danbury a few times, Bedgebury, Swinley and done a few xc trips abroad. Like singletrack and technical (although my technical skills are still 'developing')

Looking at this Hatfield event and wondering how many EHMTB'ers are signed up - good way to meet some of you guys?

Cheers, Matt

Ok, I'm signed up for the 32 miler, could be interesting as I haven't actually ridden the MTB yet this year

I'll be the tall skinny bloke on a black Trance.

Probably aim for 0900 registration so I don't have to get up tooooo early.

Looking forward to meeting some new peeps 8-)

Top morning's riding. Maybe a little too much tarmac and too little Wormley, but fun none the less.

Good to see Jamie, Martin and big John made it too :)
