 Post subject: New to mtb

Hi I'm new to mtb. Rode a bike all my child hood and on occasion as an adult. Bought a new bike recently and have entered the British Heart Foundation London to Southend off road bike ride. Any tips for getting ready or has anyone completed it before?

There's nothing technically difficult on the BHF L2B and some of it is even a bit boring

So concentrate on your strength & fitness, as rolling resistance on trails, is a lot higher than tarmac roads,

Did the ride last year nothing technical lot of it quiet roads around fields,through Langdon hills and a hard climb at the end at Hadleigh.
