I'm out now for a few hours doing other stuff but my bikes a bit clean and not been ridden in 2 weeks - anyone up for an afternoon ride today?

Epping or Broxbourne 3 or 4pm?

Yeah i am up for it and any suits me. I would prefer broxbourne becuase its on my doorstep but i am not really fussed.

Normally not an issue but just got over a chesty thing. Lets give it 30mins if it doesnt look so bad shall we meet say 3.30pm at any chosen carpark? I dont know my way around Broxbourne so would be good to go with some thet know the trails...

Yeah, come along Noel, shouldn't be too far for you to travel. Not sure which carpark people want to meet at yet.

If you use google maps and google broxbourne or brickendon - basically the woods encompass that area. They are divided by a few different roads so there are loads of places to meet as well.

I only just got back from a run so ive got to eat, another coffee, off to bike shop for some spares and should be there for 3.30pm all being well. Plenty of time for someone to post a meeting place, as Sheldon is a local maybe he can google map us both directions to meet.

+ would people prefer hills / singletrack / fire roady stuff ?

Cool, its about 35 mins. So not too bad. But a specific place to meet. Any of the locals got an idea on locationetc?

Yeah, i know the woods like the back of my hand. Shall we meet at the broxbourne east car park? Its opposite the zap paintball place? Its fairly easy to find.

Thinking this sounds good :

carpark here : 51.741176,-0.072754 (stick into google maps)

start route jsut up the road here : 51.740505,-0.068237 (the carpark theres closed cos of fly tipping thast why i didnt suggest there)

then from there there is a (kind of) figure of 8 loop with a few up hills / downs on fire roads round bencroft woods as a little warm up for the bumpier stuff

that will come out, short (5 mins max) ride on raod to broxbourne woods, from there do a lap of the main circle (not huge) then cut up a path, down some single track, along next to a little stream, up a big hill, road ride along, then a up and down bit of singletrack, then back down the path to the main broxbourne circle, and decide from there if we want to cover any extra distance ?

edit : sheldon if you have any other routes im happy to follow whatever

Banner, location is fine by me if the other carpark is closed. I'm happy to ride anywhere, no idea what my fitness is like but I guess we will find out.

Noel/Sheldon - you ok with meet point around 3:45ish?
