People was describing the stages close to DH runs for trail bikes!

I thought FoD and Quantocks were steeper and more DH orientated than Ard Rock, i prefered the flow of these trails.

With regards to times I took it real easy to be honest as spent alot of time on conditioning my legs for the transitions (45km loop so alot of climbing between stages ) hoping for no mechanicals as see shed loads of torn tyres in practise! ( poor line choice maybe) , trying to keep composed & control my adrenaline ( no silly mistakes & over cooking it ) & see the 5 stages through!, first time holiday in Yorkshire ;) let alone riding there! Also along way from home, big off no work unhappy boss , two small mouths to feed ect! so yes could've launched myself alot harder but was happy I managed to control myself ! lol!

Had a fantastic weekend, racing the Enduro Sport in the Masters Seniors (U40) and came in 16th in the category and 38th overall on the Saturday!

Had one puncture in a transfer and one right at the finish line, which didn't seem to slow me down. What a great weekend, and boy, what climbs! Did not think the uphills would be this bad and long.

Would definitely do it again. Race number was 1321.

Likewise Simon :-)

It was the scariest thing i have ever done, loved the blind steep slope on section 1, back wheel skid down section 2 into sharp left, otherwise game over as cliff edge, that bloody hike a bike up from stage 4 almost twisted my ankle walking the bike up it......

Going next year. "To bloody right" :-) :-)
