I went yesterday for first time to race at Beastway and was really a blast! Narrow, twisty and tough course with loads of up and downs, really demanding. Friendly atmosphere, too! I'm curious of my heart rate at the end of last lap. Don't remember sweating so much at that temperature.
Has anyone been there before? I'm back for the last 2 or 3 races

J

Ive done one too, you've not raced until you've done one
I too struggle to get there in time because of work, but hopefully i'll get one or two under my belt by the end of the summer?
I popped along last week to watch about 7.45, man it looked painfull, no one was smiling and it looked all hard work?

I diEd 6 laps in 51:46, one lap less than winner. First laps I couldn't find pace; everyone in my category started much faster and only at the very end I started overtaking some of them. I'll have to do some hill training and for the race eat a a couple of big cakes :)

Next weekend it's the lasat round ' Team race format' http://beastway.com/index.php?option=co ... &Itemid=27

I'd like to participate. Anyone willing to try? If not, do you think I can find a team once I'm there?

Yesterday Wednesday it was horrible. By the time I got there I was already wet and cold. The course was muddy as hell with Racing Ralphs..big mistake!

Race on 13th July missed due to tendon injury.
