Have a look on eBay for "heli tape", but find a car specific one as they are normally cheaper but the same thing..

Just been looking for the same... Have found this so far:

http://www.vikingtapes.co.uk/c-169-3m-8671hs-polyurethane-protective-tape.aspx

Plus there is http://www.invisiframe.co.uk/ if you have a bike they have listed (which I don't).

Interested to see what people recommend :)

Invisi frame for my bike is £71. Not paying that tbh. It says they use 3M or XPEL but there is no more specific details. 3M have several different products with different thicknesses and glue composition.

XPEL Ultimate seems to be good stuff but I can't find where to get it from.

Some interesting read I found on here: http://www.tintdude.com/forum/index.php ... afol-xpel/

There are lots of reports about Fleabay sourced tapes - they tend to hover between sh*te and really sh*te...

Harvey have you actually used this stuff? If so was it any good as it is massively cheaper than 3M's product?

I've not used that "exact" one but it is in my eBay cart for when I want a new batch.. :D
Most times people have problem with tape, it's because of not fitting it correctly..!! ie: Heat gun etc..
The last time I bought tape it was from eBay and was awesomely good £10 plenty to do whole bike ,just gutted the seller isn't there anymore or I would have just bought more.!! It was the same as that one though..
I just wouldn't spend silly money on it like those kits etc when it's all basically the same stuff ,the way I look at it is if it's good enough to protect car bumpers etc it's good enough for my bike..

Invisi frame is really good, it is designed especially for your bike shape and cut out exactly to fit, they provide a full sheet and how to put on as well. Yes its expensive because they have made it to measure and worked out all the exact places to put it. You do still need to be confident to put it on and a little hot air to mould it in place.

I've learned not to buy the thick stuff as it's a nightmare to work with.

I have taken to putting a lot of the fluffy side of velcro strips on the undersides of my chain stays and lower parts of my swingarm, keeps it quiet and avoids damage while still looking tidy.

Wow, at least you got instructions ;)

Mine was good but very brittle, after talking with stumpie, I remembered that you should use a little soapy water to apply so you can squeeze out the air bubbles.
