Which workstands do you all use? Looking for one right now, am a bit of a sucker for parktools, but as I won't be using it weekly, or even monthly I don't want to go overboard, do want something a bit more substantial and harder wearing than a plastic halfords one though.

Secondly, I have a shiny new bike reserved now, and will require a shock pump, any one in particular worth looking at? Topeak and bikehut (get a discount) catch my eye so far.

I have a Topeak shock pump which has been pretty good for the last 4 years or so

I have a bike stand from aldis and it definitely does the job, used it alot now.broke down 2 bikes in it and built one up on it and have not had and issues at all.

Only thing is the feet spread out alot, you'll need alot of floor space but at least it means it will never fall over

I use a BETO shock pump, had it for a few years and its been faultless, easy to use, also has a release valve and release screw so you don't loose all the air you just pumped in. Look on ebay for item number 172170622460

Also one for the Aldi bike stand, does the job well

Cheers. Will only be using the stand outside on the patio or driveway so would have acres of space for it.

Think I'll just opt for the bikehut shock pump as they are all so similar and I can get that one cheap.

I have a topeak shock pump I bought back around 06/07 and I'm still using it today.it basically lives in my riding bag and has been through every weather under the sun and is still as good as the day I bought it!

My tip is get a three or four legged one as the two legged tend to topple if they are not heavy enough..!!

Bought one of these a couple of years back: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Dirty-BICYCLE- ... +workstand

For the price, it'sreally good. It has had a lot of use and it is still working as well as it was on day one.

As a bonus it folds up nicely and you can hide it in a corner of the garage. Also, its quite handy for drying your gear on :)
