Just been having a look on the web about bike cleaning, seems everyone recommends specific bike cleaners rather than a bit of fairy liquid. Does washing up liquid really harm your bike? What do you use?

I have MucOff but won't be buying more once it's gone, car shampoo/fairy does the same job at a fraction of the price.

Fairy liquid will scratch the paint as it's abrasive.
I use duck foaming wash or hope sh!t shifter or if I can't get either then muk off

Fenwicks as I grabbed a load whilst up at Ard Rock, foams up well and cleans bike nice. (have enough for 8lts now)

As said use a good bike spray as well, muc off one is a nice smell and wont make the mud stick so much

That has been done a while and keeps popping up on line, and who leaves the product on the bike for hours, most is washed off after minutes if not seconds, so no harm done
